About Jenaveve

Artistic Experience

Jenaveve grew up in La Crosse, Wisconsin dancing to survive a childhood of complex trauma. She overcame many obstacles to go on to study dance at the University of Montana from 2001-2006. In 2005, Jenaveve studied abroad in Kerala, India with a McNair Fellowship where she developed a deep lasting yoga practice under the guidance of Rajasekharan Nair.

Certifications

She later became a Certified Yoga Teacher and Social Emotional Learning Facilitator with the Breathe For Change Educator Wellness Program. In 2009, Jenaveve graduated from the Green River Dance for Global Somatics, a 1400-hour graduate-level training program in the Body-Mind Centering approach of Somatic Movement Therapy. She is especially dedicated to bringing somatically-minded movement experiences to those in recovery. She is the creator of Move to Recover, a program of movement therapy designed for people in all forms and stages of recovery that uses sensory awareness and movement repatterning to facilitate change in patterns of addiction.
